We are coming home. On Friday 18 December 2009 HQ will rock the Melkweg once again.
HQ ( which stands for High Quality ) was one of the longest running and most legendary club-nights Amsterdam has ever experienced. Starting in 1995, HQ took up a monthly residency in the Melkweg showcasing the fresh hard-house sound that originated in the UK but quickly evolved into its own unique genre; the HQ Sound. A fiercely pumpin’, melodic and energetic sound designed to do one thing and one thing only: make crowds go absolutely mental.
After a ten year run Amsterdam’s longest running club-night came to a close in 2004.
Since that day HQ has held a strong presence within the Dutch dance scene with a yearly residency at Dance Valley Festival, but the original “Melkweg vibe” has always been missed. Now, after an absence of five years, HQ is coming home! On Friday 18 December 2009 from 23.00 hours till 05.00 hours HQ - The Classic Edition will be rocking the Melkweg once again.
Be prepared for a journey through the evolution of the HQ sound starting with its birth in 1995 all the way to 2004. To make sure the true HQ sound will be tearing the place up, we have invited six DJ’s who have been fundamental in the evolution of HQ;
Tom Harding (UK) - the original HQ bad boy,
BK (UK) - the premier producer of the HQ sound,
JP (NL) - killin’ the decks since the very first HQ,
Fausto (NL) - always takin’ HQ to the second level,
Danny D (UK) - the force behind all that is HQ,
The master of ceremonies will be none other than the legendary MC Marxman (UK).
Original HQ visual chemistry will be provided by VJ Razor M (NL).
All DJ’s will bring their original vinyl records and cd’s that rocked HQ in the early days. So expect jumping turntables and the true original HQ sound.

At the door tickets will be available for €22,50.
