Q-BASE - Update Vage Gasten

Vage Gasten, which can be loosely translated as Whacky Guys, is a collective of twelve friends. What they do differs from person to person. What it's all about? Various styles of music and other forms of art, including organizing some crazy-ass parties.

One of their chief activities is hosting areas at diverse festivals. This year, one of those festivals is Q-BASE, where Vage Gasten will show off the best of their artistic skills. Their area will focus on music, accompanied by a fitting display of various art forms. A quality line-up is presented in a spectacular décor and “live art” tops off the display, giving the performances an extra dimension. Beware: it will be a sensational experience!

In order to present Q-BASE with a worthy line-up, the gang chose to return to their favourite underground genres. Expect the hardest electro, dubstep, techno, drum & bass and breakcore. Since a high quality and balanced amount of the aforementioned genres is assured, the line-up promises to be a smashing one featuring highly surprising acts from home and abroad.

Below is an impression of what Vage Gasten have in store for you.

Gtronic (BE)
Since last year, Gtronic has been making a real name for himself in electroland. “Iron Man”, published on Dutch BMKLTSCH Records, was his breakthrough. But it does not stop there; he has also released albums on Lektroluv and Dim Mak Records. Gtronic guarantees banging electro and will show Q-BASE that electro has no less power than other harder styles.

High Rankin (UK)
This English producer is a true jack-of-all-trades, but most of his productions lie between electro and dubstep. We recently had a chance to admire him live and that was very reassuring. The way this man breaks down clubs with his intense live performances makes him higly suitable for an act in the Vage Gasten area.

Gomes & Brutuzz (NL)
The Netherland’s two best dubstep DJs together in 1 act! What else could you wish for!? They are currently traveling the country together, spinning fans out of control with the currently popular dubstep sound. Gomes also happens to be the founder of Holland’s most successful dubstep event, “Oi!”. So prepare!

Henzel & Disco Nova (NL)
For the musical figureheads of the Vage Gasten collective, this will be their second Q-BASE performance. Apart from the Airport Weeze festival, they have successfully performed at quite a few others. Mystery Land, Valtifest, Lowlands, Solar, Extrema, Dance Valley; you name it, they’ve played it. At Q-BASE they will truly come into their own, as they are allowed to play the hardest of the hardest. Do not take these bangers lightly!

And yet there is more, because even more heroes will pay the Vage Gasten DJ booth a visit . Besides, you can always expect the guys to surprise you with new elements in their shows.

Check out the complete line-up below and don’t forget to lose yourself on the 11th of September!
